Whiskey Tango Foxtrot follows an aspiring cable news reported who packs up her life and moves to Afghanistan to film the action and tragedies that happen over there. Starring Tina Fey, we see Kim Barker struggle with the day to day life in a country that is not her own. She befriends many of the Marines stationed over there, fellow journalists, and even some important Muslims within the country. Every day is a new adventure as she tries to be successful on this new assignment she has given to herself. Kim stays in this role for several years which is documented quite well throughout the movie. This film was humorous at times, but not as much as you would expect from a Tina Fey film. Though I was excited to watch this movie, mostly because of Tina Fey, I wasn’t impressed at all. I’m giving this movie an “okay” rating. It was a fantastic story and I’m happy to have learned more about it, but definitely wouldn’t watch it again. Oh - and it totally took me WAY too long to figure out the title's purpose.

The film was humorous. It contains an inspiring message. I love Tina Fey. She is a wonderful actress. The film is really a blast of lessons. I am really impressed. Thank you for posting this review. People should watch this film.
