I don't really have anything nice to say about this movie. Videodrome is essentially about a guy, who earns his living by working at a Television and Pornography company, that comes across this video of someone being tortured. After he watches it for the first time at home, he become obsessed with this clip and wants to find out more information. As he begins his quest, he meets a lot of strange people and ultimately he starts to lose his mind. I don't really understand how this is classified as a "Horror Movie." Yeah, I guess he is losing his mind, so it could be some kind of psychological thriller type thing, but horror? Nah. Everything about this movie was just not good in my opinion. I didn't like all the sexual advances, clips, etc; and I definitely didn't like what was going on in his mind as he was hallucinating.
the whole thing with these guys purposely distributing the video to unsuspecting victims in order to what? Kill them? Oh! Did I forget to mention that this video gives you cancer? So, basically this is The Ring before The Ring even comes out: a video that kills you. The way that it kills you though is it tricks you into killing yourself... so it's also just like The Forest. So many analogies today, kudos to myself.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ There's just so much about this movie that made me cringe, and there is so much more that I don't understand nor do I wish to understand. I will never in my life watch this movie again, I'm giving it a "Hated It" and am not recommending it for ANYONE to EVER watch. My main question though is why does David own this movie? Probably because it was extremely cheap for being so terrible.
