The Longest Ride - Loved It

Nicholas Sparks sure does know how to write a love story, and this movie is no exception. I will always read his books and watch as the movies get brought to life in film. I know, I know, they are more the less all the same story: spark of love (no pun intended), romance, trouble in paradise, tragedy, and finally more love and a happy ending (sometime's it's a sad ending... just saying.) But even though the stories are more or less the same, I still find myself drawn to them.

I enjoyed this one. The two love birds started off with a rough start, ending up having to compromise in the name of love so their relationship could flourish.

Some thoughts I had during this film:
  1. I wish I was as skinny as Brit Robertson. Salad and gym here I come.
  2. Have you seen Scott Eastwood? Gorge.
  3. Art is not my thing in the least, so forking over 20K on something that looks like a baby could draw is ridiculous.
  4. I love country music and knew the line dance they did in the beginning.
  5. I would never support bull riding.

The Longest Ride is a double wammy of love stories. On top of Luke and Sophia's blossoming romance, you have Ira and Rose: a past romance that leaves you completely happy to hear about but sad with it's reality. Sophia reads to Ira all the old letters he wrote his beloved wife Rose, so he can both remember how wonderful their life was together and teach Sophia that a love like that can be real. It's a moving story really - I had a pretty good cry session.

Well, that's all I have to say about this film. I loved it for sure and urge every to go watch it. If you know me personally I will let you borrow it. I would also kind of like to read the book, but not sure if that is a good idea. Comments?

Hilarious review! Loved the five thoughts. While I enjoyed the movie myself, I kept thinking the whole time how bullriding sounds like a horrible idea.
