The Danish Girl was very slow and wasn't able to hold my attention very well. Though this is a major problem for me when I'm watching movies, I still don't think this was a bad watch. I thought Alicia Vikander (Gerda) and Eddie Redmayne (Einar/The Danish Girl) did an amazing job acting. I could really see the struggle for Einar with what he felt like inside and what he actually was on the outside, along with the struggle that Gerda had to go through with Einar's transformation. David explains this perfectly in his blog post on the movie, he is way better with words than me if you haven't already gathered that from our many movie reviews so far. So, Ditto.
I'm not really sure what else I want to say about this movie. It was definitely worthy of its award nominations and/or wins (sorry I don't follow award shows they are boring), but not an exciting watch that I look for in a film. To conclude this review I'm going to choose not to go into the politics of it and just say this movie was just ok since I didn't love it or hate it.
