Nicholas Sparks brings us yet another book-to-film film. This time it's The Choice. I remember reading this book and liking it well enough. The movie though, is way different that I remember. You have two young adults living next to each other. Gabby (Teresa Palmer) is studying to be a doctor and is annoyed every night by Travis (Benjamin Walker) and his loud music playing. One night, she discovers that her dog is pregnant, and she marches over to Travis' house to confront him and his dog along with complaining about the noise. The next day, she finds out that her vet is actually Travis and his father.

Gabby's boyfriend goes out of town for a few weeks for medical work, and Travis and Gabby start to hang out and eventually fall in love. You would think that "the choice" that is made is whether or not Gabby stays with her boyfriend or stays with Travis, but it isn't. Patience please.

Well, Gabby and Travis get married and start a family. One day, Gabby is in a really bad car accident that leaves her in a coma. THIS is the choice that he has to make. After a very long time, Gabby is still in a coma and he has to decide whether or not to keep her in a coma or let her go. Which will he choose? I'm not going to spoil it for you, guess you'll just have to watch it if you really want to know!

I loved the proposal scene. It's probably the best part of the whole movie as it was hilarious and cute at the same time. I thought the two actors had chemistry together. Per usual on these movies, I love the ocean scenes and the landscapes. Every time I watch these movies I want to pick up and movie to the coast because it just looks so peaceful and beautiful.

This definitely isn't my favorite Nicholas Sparks book turned to film movie. It was alright, but nothing special. From what I remember about the book, I don't think they followed it that closely. I do however, think it was better than the book though. It was a long time ago though so I'm not even sure if I'm remembering closely. I'm going to give this movie an "okay" rating.

This news is terrific! Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors of all time. The way he composes encapsulates his identity. As an avid reader, I know the nooks and crannies of converting text to film. Whether you believe it or not, the adaptation sometime does not correlate with the content of the book. I hope that the movie would faithfully follow the book's perspective. If that happens, that would please his fans. I cannot contain my excitement as a fan.

I haven't watch the choice yet, but since you did not reveal the next story, I will surely watch it later. I thought that the movie was boring because one of my friends said that it is. Based on what you have written in this blog, I guess it has similarities with the movie "The Vow". Nicholas sparks really works mysteriously and I do not even know here did he get the motivation and inspiration of his stories. The story that I like the most that he had written is "The best of me". It was really an unforgettable movie for me. It hurts a lot even if I watch that a thousand times, I will keep on crying at the end.
