Starring: Clancy Brown, William Mapother, Doug Hutchison
Director: JT Petty Runtime: 1 hour, 36 minutes Horror | Thriller | Western | 2008 First thing I would like to say is that westerns are by far my least favorite genre of movie. They are just so… boring. I know they are a huge staple in the film world, particularly many decades ago, it’s just that nothing remotely interesting happens other than gun fights and what not. So I thought, maybe a horror western would change things up? Well, that opening scene was very good and got me hooked on the film at first, then it turned into complete boringness and not interesting at all. Creatures took a family, and a bunch of people (who I assume to be investigators from the olden western days) go off to search for them. Soon they find out about the creatures - okay it actually wasn’t soon at all, they thought Indians did the deed and proceeded to kill and torture any they came across. Here are some problems I had with this story:
I would say that this movie has an interesting story, but it just wasn’t something that was worth my time to watch. It could have been much more thrilling with what they had to work with, I mean the look of the creatures was enough to make your skin crawl, but instead we were given unnecessary gun fights. I’ll give this a “hated it.” (1/5).
