There were aspects of the movie I liked and aspects that I didn't. The story itself was a good, moving one. It was what you would think just based on the title. I will warn you though, there's no "love" story. It's a teenage boy who befriends a girl who is dying of cancer. The perfect makings of a tear-jerker.

The entire movie was just... weird. His parents were weird, and his mom really made me mad (even though I love Connie Britton) when she forced him to hang out with her. What kind of mother does that? Well, I guess if she didn't then there would be no movie.

This is one of those movies that makes you feel like you need to be on something to make sense of everything... I mean, just take a look at the poster to the left. Dafuq?

Okay, now on to the aspects that I did like about this movie. Obviously, I liked the story itself. It was funny, cute, and really made you think about how short
life is and to appreciate what you have while you have it. Watching how the girl changed Greg for the better is always a good thing to watch in movies. This is another one of those movies that is based off a book, which I would be interested in reading, because I love teen fiction even though I'm obviously not a teen anymore.

By the end of this movie I was totally bawling my eyes out, what do you expect though? I would recommend this movie, but am just calling it "OK" because I wouldn't watch it again.
