This movie was one that we decided to watch randomly that was on Netflix. Apparently, one of Rick's Facebook friends said it was the most scariest movie and that everyone needed to watch it. Well, I wouldn't say it's the most scariest, but it's definitely worth the watch. Justine (Haley Bennett) is the only one on campus during the Thanksgiving break. She decides to take a short trip to the gas station for snacks and what not, and runs into Violet (Ashley Greene) who is way to strange and scary to talk to. Well, Violet and her friends decide that Justine is "Kristy" a.k.a. follow of God and must die. They are part of this cult that kills "Kristy's" all over the United States... and the hunt begins.
Justine has an edge on the crew because she knows her campus better than anyone. She's friends with the security guards and maintenance workers and is pretty smart when it comes to the mouse and cat game these gangsters have created for her. I thought this movie was typical, but still very thrilling to where I enjoyed watching it. The film reminded me of something that I can't quite put my finger one. It's like part Friend Request with the whole dark web thing going on, but it's also much like The Purge, I feel like. **Speaking of The Purge, did anyone else see the new one? I watched it an decided against doing a review because I didn't want any hate mail **
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. The whole lights flickering the entire time really added to the thrills and tensions from scene to scene. One thing I want to say though is college campus are not that EMPTY during Thanksgiving breaks. I mean, when I was in college it was only a four day weekend (it could be different for the one in the movie) but there are still people there. Most colleges have a large population of international students that can't go home, so this probably isn't realistic. Still worth the watch though, I would recommend it if you're looking for something to get your heart rate up. I can't believe I'm going to say this after that dog scene, but I'm going to give it a "Liked It."
