Starring: Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Barry Keoghan, Raffey Cassidy
Director: Yorgos Lanthimos Runtime: 2 hours, 1 minute Drama | Mystery | Thriller | 2017 When the trailers before the movie are 5 for 5 movies that have gotten "Hated It" ratings, I did not enjoy this film. When a movie starts off with a deer/cow/whatever having open heart surgery/whatever I did not enjoy the movie. When a movie ends and I have more questions than I had during the movie, I did not enjoy the film. At one point, I thought I knew what was going on. And then something happened to where I wasn't so sure anymore. If you ask me what this movie is about. I would say that the perfect family gets uprooted by a selfish grieving boy who wants revenge for his fathers death... even though his father's death was an accident. I just have so many questions about this film and so many things that I did not like about it. First, I felt like the entire thing was awkward. The conversations were awkward and stale, between literally everyone in the film. It didn't matter who was talking to who, it was awkward. Then there's that thing with the husband and wife... Kidman does have a hot bod though. That's just weird to me. I guess what ever gets you in the mood? Nah, still strange. The relationships that Martin and the two children was strange too. Was it love, hate, both? I just couldn't tell in between all the awkward (okay I know I've said this word a lot but I don't know what else to say) dialogue between them. One more thing I hated was the music. Every time some serious conversation was happening, I couldn't even here them because the music in the background was so loud. That doesn't even make sense to me. How could that be? And the ending. Oh my the ending. What a waste of my time. (0/5).
