Starring: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rafe Spall
Director: JA Bayona Runtime: 2 hours, 8 minutes Action | Adventure | Sci-Fi | 2018 Jurassic World is probably on my top list of movies that I love, and I was so excited to learn that they were going to be making another one. But then I heard little rumors about the story line and I grew less excited, but still willing to see it because the first one was just so good. Well, this second Jurassic World movie was not the greatest. The plot and story line I felt fell to it's death and did not recuperate at all as the movie progressed. Basically, the island where the dinosaurs are is about to explode. Claire wants to save the dinosaurs while everyone else just doesn't care - they weren't supposed to be alive anyway so why does it matter? Well, some big wealthy man convinces her to go to the island to save a few dinosaurs (of course she gets Owen to go with her) and basically the Sh*t hits the fan. The wealthy man is evil and leaves the humans on the exploding island to die, but takes his precious dinosaurs so that they can be slaughtered in a hunting grounds. Speaking of hunting - here's my two cents - it's evil and no one should partake in the nasty hobby just because its "fun." Anyway, once the dinosaurs captured are back in America (some of which are the ones trained by Owen mind you) they get loose and wreak havoc - what else would happen in a movie like this? Along with the faulty story, I didn't really enjoy the acting in this one. I felt like the chemistry that Pratt and Howard had in the first one was just gone for this second film. Perhaps J.Law got in the way? How scandalous... I'm going to give this film an "okay" rating solely based on the science fiction, dinosaurs, and special effects. (2/5)
