Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson
Director: Justin Lin
Runtime: 2 hours, 11 minutes
Action | Crime | Thriller | 2011

We have everyone from the earlier movies here and it makes me excited!! The team comes together again, in Brazil, to pull off the biggest heist possible. They are going to steal all the money from Reyes, the king-pin cartel leader who is responsible for the death of Leti in the fourth movie. The team includes the usual characters: Dom, Brian, and Mia along with Roman (remember him from the second movie?), Tej (Ludacris), Han (Tokyo Drift), Gisele (Gal Gadot), Leo, and Santos. To make it even more exciting, now that Brian isn’t police anymore, there’s a new character trying to bring them all in, Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson).

There isn’t much racing involved in this film, but it’s still enough to get the adrenaline going. The majority of the film is them planning the heist while trying to evade both Hobbs and Reyes’ henchmen. There’s a couple points in the film that they race to win pink slips, but the only show them coming home with the prize, not that actual race.

Once Hobbs started to close in, it was pretty obvious to me how the film was going to play out. Reyes’ is now on the bad side of pretty much everyone, so everyone is going to help in the heist which ends in a high speed car chase. I don’t really know what else to say that won’t give away what happens to everyone who hasn’t seen it.

I loved this movie and think it’s been one of the top in the series for me. (5/5)

Fast five is one of my favorite films in the fast and furious franchise. It presented the emotions and personality of the main characters just like the first film. The visual effects were also astounding, as it left me amazed in the theater. This was Paul Walker's last film and I believe that it served him justice. It's always sad to know that he won't be in anymore of the future sequels.
