Catching Fire is the second movie of The Hunger Games saga. Katniss and Peeta have returned home from their time in the games, and are not coping well. Memories turned into nightmares, a love story that needs to be faked, and a threatening president. The movie starts off with the two of them going on their victor tour, where they travel to each district and give speeches on their time and experiences with the fallen tributes. The first district they travel to is district 11, where Katniss’ dear friend and ally Rue was from. This was emotional for everyone and the start of uprising in the districts. Though it’s evident that Katniss does not want a revolution, she will obviously become the face of it. The two announce their “engagement” to try and convince President Snow and the rest of the country that their love is real.
At the end of the tour, the announcement is made that for the 75th Hunger Games tributes will be chosen from past victors. Katniss and Peeta will be returning to the arena for the second straight year. From here you can see the forming of an uprising. Allies were formed (without Katniss and Peeta’s knowledge) and there is obviously a plan to overthrow the Capitol. The games themselves are much more strategic and unique this time. **SPOILERS** I really liked the whole clock thing, I think they did an awesome job portraying from the book within the movie. In the end, some of the tributes are taken from the arena to someplace safe, while others are captured by the Captiol as prisoners.
