Starring: Dave Bautista, Brittany Snow, Angelic Zambrana Director: Cary Murnion Runtime: 1 hour, 34 minutes Action | Adventure | 2017 Aside from the non stop action in this movie, I just was not a fan. Snow plays Lucy and Bautista plays Stupe, two random people that decide to work together to get to safety in a war zone. NYC is under attack from a militant group who is apparently trying to cede from the United States, basically it’s another civil war that just so happens to take place in a suburb of NYC… Bushwick. Basically, it’s Lucy being a blonde and stubborn girl while Stupe is a war veteran who for some reason decides to help Lucy find her family and get to safety regardless of the recklessness of her actions. So the reason I’m not a fan of this film is the ending… SPOILER ALERT!!! Lucy’s sister is a complete and utter waste of a woman. She can’t do anything for herself. So her patheticness leaves Lucy shot in the head dead. And Stupe ends up dead as well due to a lack of judgement on his part. So basically, there is no happy ending. And no point to this movie. I hate movies that don’t have a clear plot or point, especially those that end in tragedy. END SPOILERS All in all, I hated this movie. Even the action couldn’t redeem it from a “hated it” rating. Perhaps I just don’t get it, but I felt very irritated when the film was over. I don’t suggest watching this one (1/5).
