Bad Moms - Liked It

Bad Moms stars Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn as they play moms who have had enough of all the BS that is going on in their childrens' school, at home, and at work. They've been pushed to their limits and have decided that it is going to stop - they decide to be "bad moms." A little background of each character: Amy (Mila Kunis) is over-worked and is juggling a job, chauffeuring her kids around to every little thing that they are a part of, and feeling very under-appreciated at home. So when she finds out her husband is cheating on her, she kicks him out and tries to do everything herself (which eventually blows up in her face... comically). Kiki (Kristen Bell) is a stay at home mom with 4 or 5 kids (I don't remember exactly, but it's a lot) whose husband is a complete jerk to her that expects her to do what he says and only take care of the kids. Carla (Kathryn Hahn) is already the epitome of a bad mom, so she doesn't have to do much changing.

The three newly found friends decide to ditch their responsibilities as a mother (like doing their kids homework, making them breakfast even though they are old enough to do so themselves, and participating in the PTA) and embrace their new freedom by partying and having fun in life. The majority of this movie is pretty cliche. You have your main character partying and having fun, all while her life is blowing up in her face. She loses her job, she loses her husband, she gains an enemy (the PTA president), and her kids start to hate her. By the end of the film she finally is able to find a balance between work, friends, and family thus leading up to a very predictable ending. Still, I liked this movie.

I thought Bad Moms was funny but not hilarious. Kiki was definitely my favorite character: I found that her one-liners and personality were the best out of the three moms. Christina Applegate played the "villain" well (I definitely hated her character), as Gwendolyn - the PTA president who is stuck in her ways and if you don't comply you will regret it. Her character does some changing to throughout the movie.

In one of the ending scenes when Gwendolyn pulls up in her car and says "get in" to the other three moms, I was REALLY HOPING that she would say "get in bitches, we're going shopping." Because, that would have been perfect. #MeanGirls

Like I said before, I liked this movie. I definitely could have waited for it to come out on DVD first though, but still it was enjoyable and I would recommend you all watch it!!
