Okay, I’ve had enough of all these found footage films (I’m sure there is still more that are on the list though, thanks David). This one is about two friends who are traveling the world together. One is filming the entire thing so they can share with their friends and family on a blog page. Derek becomes afflicted with something that he and Clif just aren’t sure what is.
As a viewer of this film, it was pretty obvious right from the start what Derek was afflicted with. And I have to say, the whole premise of the movie is definitely interesting.
Derek was bitten and turned into a vampire. The whole documentary-like filming was interesting and made it seem like this type of thing truly happened (it also helps that Clif and Derek play themselves).
There was one point, about half way through the movie, that I was like “I’ve only been watching this for 45 minutes there is no way it’s over.” Well, it wasn’t sadly. This film was just extremely boring. They took a good idea and didn’t put any other original thoughts into it. Honestly, I didn’t even find it that horrific or scary. Poor Derek though.
I’m giving this movie a “Hated It.” I didn’t think it was worth the hour and half I spend watching it (or half watching it, my crossword puzzles were more exciting than this film). (1/5).
