I had to use frozen strawberries because the grocery stores in my area were completely out! (That was strange) and I had to use frozen rhubarb since I don't think it's in season right now... or perhaps I just couldn't find it in the store. I really don't know when certain things are in season. I really should start choosing "in season" dishes to make it easier on myself.
The pie was good, but next time I'll be sure to thaw the frozen fruit before hand to avoid any extra water. The first pie I made from the cookbook was a lot better than this one. I do however like making the lattice top on the pie. It looks nice! Also, I did NOT make the pie crust... Pillsbury all the way!
